There are those who shun sleep and labor late into the night. They are not content to drift in the river of life or be driven to and fro by the tide. They set their own course and under their own
power, they strive towards their aim. They organize, labor, scheme, and fight. They sew, and sculpt and carve and paint, they draft, compose, and build, and write. And when failure threatens, they try again with determination fed by visions and dreams of how they can help the world be better, safer, brighter, more peaceful, or more beautiful. And then, with enthusiasm, sometimes trepidation, they share their work with all - where critics scorn and cynics belittle, but some applaud, and others stand in awe. For these are they who give us much - Inspiration that we, too, can make a difference Faith that things may be better, Hope that the future will be brighter, and the realization that in each human being there is a bit of God.
